This Sunday & Monday–Happy New Year, Senior Symphony!

Happy New Year to you and your family, Senior Symphony!

Over the holidays I was able to visit with my mom and dad North Carolina, and some good friends, and participated in some wedding planning for my daughter, Lauren! Itโ€™s been a nice break from the usual schedule, right? I hope you, your family, and the special people in your lives enjoyed some very happy holidays. I have missed you and look forward to being together again soon. ๐Ÿ™‚

This Sunday from 1:30-3:30, weโ€™ll play the Fountains of Rome and the Price Symphony No. 3 and, with us, weโ€™ll have about 40 alumni MYSO musicians blended into the orchestraโ€ฆsome professional musicians, conservatory students, teachers, lawyers, a dentist, and more! Itโ€™s a pretty fun event.

And for Monday, Iโ€™ll plan to start rehearsing the strings while Mr. Duffy and Mr. Sipe work with the winds and brass. The Percussion Ensemble is rehearsing at that time, too.ย  Then weโ€™ll get together as a full orchestra and finish up!

Looking forward to this!

Yours,

Carter
