International Tour | summer 2027

SOUTH KOREA

In 2027, MYSO will embark on an extraordinary international journey to South Korea, an experience rooted in artistic excellence and rich cultural discovery. Our orchestra has performed on some of the world’s most legendary stages, including Smetana Hall, Royal Concertgebouw, National Concert Hall, Musikverein, Béla Bartók National Concert Hall, and Forbidden City Concert Hall. And yet, we have never been more excited about a tour than this one. South Korea represents something truly special, a powerful blend of world-class performance opportunities, cultural immersion, and once-in-a-lifetime experiences. This won’t just be another tour. This will be the tour we talk about for years to come.

This experience is more than performing

This tour is about sharing our music with enthusiastic audiences in remarkable halls, immersing ourselves in a culture that balances timeless tradition with modern vitality, and creating memories that will last a lifetime. Students will explore dynamic cities like Seoul and Busan, global hubs shaped by innovators such as Samsung, Hyundai, Kia, LG Electronics, and SK Hynix, while also discovering serene Buddhist temples, vibrant street markets, breathtaking landscapes, and a classical music scene that rivals anywhere in the world.

International touring is one of the richest cultural opportunities MYSO provides its students.

Why it matters:

  • Elevates artistry: Performing for global audiences pushes students to new levels.
  • Builds Confidence: Traveling and performing abroad fosters independence.
  • Expands Perspective: Students experience new cultures, history and traditions.
  • Creates Connection: Music becomes a bridge across language and backgrounds.
