Ensembles

While ensembles are smaller in size than an orchestra, this category includes a broader range of musical genres which ranges from classical music to Jazz, steel pan and percussion ensembles. This category also includes our beginning string groups. A key feature of any ensemble here is that students come from a variety of backgrounds and they have the opportunity to come together in a very positive environment. They often have transformative experiences which affects their life in a really good way. Music is the unifying vehicle that creates this sense of community in each of the rehearsal studios. And the desire for achievement, the desire for excellence, the pursuit of musical joy that the students have after being involved in a MYSO ensemble is a wonderful outcome of our excellent instructors and our approach and structure.
