At the close of 36 illustrious years of service to the students and families of MYSO, Sinfonia Music Director Steven Rindt recently announced his retirement. Since 1985, Mr. Rindt has provided leadership and instruction to thousands of young musicians in a variety of roles at MYSO, as a director of String Orchestra, Progressions violin instructor, and for the past 26 years, as music director of Sinfonia.
MYSO is very happy to welcome Lauren Roznowski as the new Music Director of Sinfonia. Ms. Roznowski is currently Director of Orchestras at Longfellow Middle School in Wauwatosa and previously served as Director of Orchestras at Kettle Moraine High School and Lake Geneva Middle School.
She sums up her educational philosophy as “passionately pursuing teaching music as a vehicle to teaching the whole child,” an approach embraced wholeheartedly at MYSO. She is a proud MYSO alum.
