9/23 Note from Ms. Raber

Hello, Flute Chorale Musicians!

Thank you so much for your work in our rehearsals in these first couple of weeks. Yesterday was wonderful and a reminder of what a joy it is to work with you and create music together!

Continue to practice those tricky sections that give you pause. Remember, the more individual time you put into slow practice with a metronome and tuner, the stronger your playing will get and the more we can accomplish in rehearsals. Additionally, please try your best to arrive at least 5-10 minutes early to rehearsal. It is important for you to have time to unpack, get settled, and warm up!

For this coming week, please focus on Triumphal March. This is our most challenging piece! Our goal for next week will be to play from the beginning to letter B, so be sure to look at those rhythms between A and B.

Also, focus on the transition between the melody in Happy Farmer. We definitely want to increase our tempo next week so make sure you feel comfortable with those notes.

As always, if you have any questions about the ensemble or repertoire, don’t hesitate to ask! At the end of the day, my goal is to support you in our musical journey together!

Best,

Sabrina Raber
