Dear Metropolitan Symphony Musicians,
As we noted towards the end of our rehearsal with you last night, this orchestra is in great shape for a very impressive “Play Your Part” performance on Sunday, October 30, at 2:10 pm (musician call time 1:25 pm) at the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts in Brookfield). We are sure you can hear the progress from rehearsal to rehearsal just like we can!
Having said that, that practice time in between rehearsals is starting to run out! We have our 6th rehearsal next Monday, and then Dress Rehearsal on Friday, October 28, 6:00-8:00 pm (arrive at MYAC at 5:50 pm). There is NO warm-up rehearsal before the concert.
Where are your points of musical/technical confusion or uncertainty? You still have time to fix these spots before our final rehearsal. This work is entirely in your hands–we cannot practice for you!
But…we KNOW you are a musician with pride and integrity, as well as considerable talent. All three attributes will come together for a special experience for all of us at that first performance!
Be sure you review the concert attire for Sunday. (You do NOT need to wear your concert clothes at Dress Rehearsal).
Thank you for planning ahead to make sure you are ready to go for that final Dress Rehearsal–on a different day of the week and a slightly earlier start time. Please communicate directly with us if you have a problem making the necessary arrangements.
And thank you for your individual work in this final push toward musical excellence!
Thank you!
