Philharmonia Rehearsal This Week! (Jan 4)

Hello, Philharmonia Musicians and Families.

Happy New year! I hope everyone enjoyed a nice break from rehearsals, and that you had some time to spend with family and friends over the past few weeks!

As always, I’m looking forward to our rehearsal this week (Thursday, January 4) from 6:30 – 9:00 pm in Youth Arts Hall!  I plan to work on all of our repertoire with you this week, and I’m especially interested in hearing your progress with the second half of Polovtsian Dances.

Our February 7 Community Concert performances on are coming up fast! MYSO sent out information today which includes a reminder that the permission slip for this event is due on January 25 (please see below for more details). We’ll present a morning concert performance at MYAC and an afternoon concert performance at Bradford High School in Kenosha on February 7, and it’s very important that everyone in the orchestra is available for these performances. I’ll talk more about this at our rehearsal this week.

Please continue working to improve your individual performance level on all of our pieces and keep listening to our performance links – the more, the better!  Thanks for all you do!

See you soon!

Mr. Duffy
