Hello, Philharmonia Musicians and Parents!
I’m looking forward to seeing everyone this Thursday for our full orchestra rehearsal in Youth Arts Hall from 6:30 – 9:00 pm!
I distributed music to some Philharmonia students who expressed interest in performing the harp part to L’Arlesienne Suite on piano a few weeks ago. Two students played that part for me during our break at last week’s rehearsal, and I’d like anyone else who wants to be considered for that part to play it for me during our break at this week’s rehearsal. I need to assign that part to someone in Philharmonia soon, so this will be the last week that I can hear students that want to be considered for it.
I also want to remind everyone about MYSO’s Play Your Part fundraising campaign! Be sure to set up your Play Your Part fundraising account and do your best to raise $150 or more. You and can send donation requests to family members, friends, teachers, parents friends and co-workers, and others through email, and the donation process is super simple. As of today Philharmonia is in 2nd place for total amount raised! It would be great to see our Philharmonia donations climb and move us into 1st place!
Please continue to practice the spots in your music that need your attention, and do your best to make rehearsal attendance a priority during these final weeks of the fall cycle. We’re making great progress on our performance level, but we’re not finished yet!
Thanks for all you do! See you Thursday!
