Dear Senior Symphony Musician,
I hope this note finds you and your family doing well after a few summer activities have already come and gone. Wisconsin summers are so nice, though I do miss seeing you all!
OK! First, seating audition material will come out in the next couple of weeks, so watch for that!
Second, today I am excited to share the results of the Senior Symphony Program Committee who helped choose the music we’ll perform this season. This volunteer group was comprised of returning and new orchestra members, and they contributed mightily to the music selection process. They were absolutely first-rate, and everyone offered their own visions for concerts and generously weighed ideas before making some programming decisions.
So you can start to get excited, too, I am including the programs. Of course, if we need to make adjustments along the way, we certainly can do so. Many thanks again to the committee, and to our wonderful music librarian, Nicole Gabriel, who helped put this together.
Please find the programming here, and have fun listening to all the music we’ll study and perform. There’s some mighty big music, a few pieces we’ll consider for the orchestra’s tour to Poland and the Czech Republic next July. Each of you should have already received the tour information so that you can perform with the orchestra, but let me know if you did not.
