PLEASE READ-Assignment & Schedule for Monday, 9/23

Hello, Senior Symphony!

I hope you are enjoying your weekend and perhaps a more relaxed pace today than your school week.ย  I look forward to seeing you on Monday–you did an outstanding job last week.

If you recall, I asked you to prepare Brahms 3rdย movement material for this week, so weโ€™ll focus on that this Monday, 9/23.ย  Weโ€™ll also review the 1st movement, play the Holst, and then read both John Williams โ€œAcross the Stars and music from the movie, The Incredibles. : )

On September 30, weโ€™ll spend a couple hours in sectionals focusing on the 2ndย and 4thย movements and then weโ€™ll rehearse them with whatever else we have time for.ย  It should be fun!

Please read to the bottom!

Very best,

Carter

Oh, and something different: from dear Maestro Daniel Barenboim:ย https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wKUi0c7bg2Q, &ย https://youtu.be/04YmzdmTUSI?si=AKsyYeatyPUVWTTk&t=24
