Bravo and Monday 10/21, Senior Symphony!

Good Afternoon, Senior Symphony

I sure do miss seeing you between Mondays! Good luck to all of you who will be playing performances over the weekend and to all those marching in the chilly weather at State!ย  I hope to see some of you there : )

And while weโ€™re nowhere close to being performance-ready, that wasย super fun going through the entire program of November concert music.ย  Holy moly, there are so many powerful, cool, athletic, and passionate moments in this music!

Also, thanks so much for attending the Chamber Orchestra concert! I saw a few of you out there and I just think that was so nice of you to take the time to support your friends by being there.ย  Whether or not you could come last night, just know that being present is a beautiful thing and so significant to others in your life.ย  Whether you realize it or not, you make a big difference to a lot of people.ย  You are awesome and you really really matter.

So, we only have three more Monday rehearsals until we perform at Play Your Partโ€ฆ.and notice our Friday Dress Rehearsal, too, please.

And then ourย Tuesday, November 19 community concerts are just around the corner.ย  Our two concerts are first here at MYAC and then weโ€™ll travel by coach buses to Oconomowoc and perform for their student musicians from throughout the district. The expectation is that everyone in Senior Symphony performs these concerts. We need the whole orchestra to be present. Information is being sent to you, so please be on the lookout.

And brass players! Iโ€™d like for you to play before an Admirals Game to represent MYSO and the city.ย  Weโ€™ve been invited, and youโ€™ll be receiving information about that opportunity, too.

Take a look at our rehearsal line up below, and if you havenโ€™t already, please send out your requests for Play Your Part.ย For those who wish to tour,ย 80% of anything over $150 is credited to youย so that your own tour cost goes down!ย  Itโ€™s amazing!

See you on Monday!

Best,

Carter
