Happy Friday, Senior Symphony! Thank you & Monday Look Ahead!

Dear Senior Symphony Awesome People,

Just a quick note of THANKS to you for this past week.  A couple things:

I sincerely appreciate your signing the cards to Adeliea who was injured in the parade.  Each of you are wonderful people to help support her with those sweet and encouraging messages.

In addition, both the Wind Ensemble and String Orchestra Music Directors were SO happy with your presence and energy in the Side-by-Side rehearsals this week.  You are SO IMPORTANT to so many people–always remember that.  Thank you

I was asked to “please tell the Sr Sym kids….”

My kids commented on how nice and helpful they were. Lane 7th grade violin student who is CM for South said “that girl was sight-reading way better than I can play – she is crazy good!”  A little more insightful:  My Lane 8th grade CM:  “It was inspiring, and made us all want to really play our best – can we do this again for the next concert set too – I couldn’t sleep last night, I was so excited!”

Nice Job!

Last, please remember we’ll be in sectionals each guided by professional musicians from the MSO and the like.  Please be prepared to perform/rehearse all the literature.

I’ve noticed that metronome work could still go a long way in helping, that and knowing how the pieces really go.  Listen to them…and listen to the Sibelius, especially.  Thanks!
