Sharveta Parker
Program Coordinator Sharveta Parker, or “Mz. Parker,” as she is affectionately known by students, has a master’s degree in business administration: healthcare administration and a master’s degree in urban education with an emphasis in autism and communicative disorders from Cardinal Stritch University. Mz. Parker completed her undergraduate degree at Winona State University with an emphasis in political science and emphasis in women’s studies and French. She has held several positions in the federal and municipal sectors of government, prior to becoming a special education teacher. Mz. Parker has spent several summers working as a team leader for former Mayor Barrett’s Summer Youth Internship Program.
Mz. Parker brings to MYSO her dedication and commitment to excellence for creating opportunities for students in the Milwaukee community and beyond. In her spare time, she may be teaching Cathechism at her local parish, playing tennis, mentoring students, coaching/judging public forum debate and forensics, taxiing her middle schooler, or all of the above!
