Stephen Simuncak
String Orchestra Central Coach Stephen Simuncak began playing the cello at age four, and studied with Sue Stachelski, Beth Bender, Adrien Zitoun, and Peter Thomas.
A MYSO alumnus, he joined MYSO in fourth grade and continued through high school graduation.
Stephen holds a Bachelor’s degree in cello performance and music education from Lawrence University. At Lawrence, he studied with Horacio Contreras and sat principal cellist of the Lawrence Symphony Orchestra.
He is currently an elementary school orchestra teacher in the Wauwatosa school district. In his free time, Stephen enjoys fishing, going to the gym, frisbee golf, and watching the Packers, Brewers, and Bucks.
