Zackary Munoz is a freshman at Greenfield High School and has been playing the flute for three years. In that time he has proven himself an extremely talented musician, earning a spot as principal flute in the Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra’s Wind Ensemble and a member of the Chamber Flute Ensemble. He performs in Greenfield High School’s Advanced Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band. For the past two years, he earned a Civic Music Scholarship. He was recently named winner of the MYSO 2021 Concerto Competition for Chamber Flute Ensemble. Has earned several gold medals through the WSMA Solo and Ensemble festivals.
Zack has a passion for music and acts as a role model for young musicians, volunteering to teach flute and piano to elementary students at Elm Dale Elementary. His hobbies include mastering new instruments such as piano and violin, cooking and baking, and spending time with his family.
